Summoned back to Draeganoth upon the death of his father, King Malachy (Luke Goss) discovers that
witches are responsible for the blight and disease that have destroyed his kingdom. Accompanied by
his knights Erik (Andrew Pleavin) and Jason (Ed Speelers) and, reluctantly, by self-proclaimed witch
hunter Heinrich Kramer (Simon Thorp), Malachy sets off in search of the evil ones. Overcoming
obstacles such as a rogue band of thieves, witches disguides as his palace guard, and monstrous
red-eyed hyenas, Malachy and his troupe finally find the witches. But, in doing so, Malachy also
uncovers the mysterious secrets of his origins.

I was brought very late into the pre-production of Witchville. The project was slated to be shot in
China, so the prospect of an adventure in a foreign country intrigued me. It was also a chance to
get some experience with new problems and obstacles one can face when shooting in a foreign city.
It was tough but enjoyable working with a new crew and a delight to work with some of my
favorite actors
such as Luke Goss, Sarah Douglas and Myanna Buring. While communication was
a little tough with the language barriers, I had a chance to work with some wonderful producers
whom I have developed a strong relationship with. I think most importantly, it is very comforting
to know that no matter what country you may live in, what language we speak, the process of
making a movie and creating one is universal. Story is universal as long as there is a connection.
