The DNA Hacker Chronicles is a comic book that first began as a concept black and white
drawing that somehow spawned into a comic book. It started out as a series of B/W drawings
that was pitched to Bloodfire Studios on my first Comic-Con experience. Originally, I guess
I wasn't very prepared since I didn't know what to expect and wanted to have fun. But when
I met these guys and told them my idea, they immediately jumped in and signed me on to
create and write for this comic book.

I suppose you could say I was excited. But I was a little terrified as well, since I have never
written for a comic book and my only background for creating characters was through
writing my scripts. Well, Dennis Greenhill (Editor in Chief) helped me through the process
and eventually brought in 2 of his most wonderful artist, Lee Kohse and Matt Olson. On
looking at their drawings, I immediately fell in love with their talent but I knew I wanted
something different in my comic than all the others that I have seen.

The most obvious difference than other comic books is the dirty and grungy look that I
wanted. I looked through thousands of stock photographs, ranging from grunge borders to
rusty Polaroid Film edges that I could use to implement. Also, we gone through many
different types of brushes to create the blood splattered look you will see in many pages of
DNA Hacker Chronicles.

Today, we are continually working at producing more issues of DNA Hacker Chronicles
and eventually printing out a graphic novel version of it. I hope you will enjoy what you
see inside. It is a great example of how only 3 people can sit down and built something
from an idea and photoshop.
